The storage configuration includes the 4100 tunnel, which is plugged, and a shaft connecting the tunnel upward to the 3250 tunnel, which opens to the surface. This report presents results of a hydraulic & geotechnical monitoring program that was carried out in conjunction with a hydraulic communication test to verify the hydraulic conductivity between the 4100 tunnel and the 3250 portal, as part of an evaluation of the use of the 3250 tunnel as a reservoir outflow. The key objectives of the monitoring program were to confirm the storage capacity available in the mine workings and to measure the magnitude of drawdown effects on known restrictions to water flow. The report also provides results of the geotechnical & 4100 instrumentation monitoring program, along with recommendations for ongoing maintenance & possible upgrades.
