In the same vein as "Shirley Valentine", Silvio Soldini’s fluffy piece of magical realism features bored and neglected Italian housewife Rosalba who decides to reinvent herself while on a bus tour with her family. Shot through with music and flowers, and just a touch of the absurd—Rosalba’s daydreams take on life of their own while the detective her husband hires to track her down gets more than he bargained for—this is a charming fairytale of a film rooted in real life yet milking its picturesque locations and photogenic cast for all the whimsy it can get. Very easy to like and just as easy to forget.

To be enjoyed by moms of teens everywhere. Fun fluff with a final scene worth waiting for.

This is a cute romance-comedy. When the married woman decides on a "chosen" life-style - it is a life that brings joy and comfort to all.

Such a light-hearted movie. I love how the main character found what she wanted to do with her life by just not going home. The script writer did an excellent job of telling each character's back story before all the characters eventually entered the others' lives to create a happy family. Very enjoyable.
