This enjoyable "Complete Peanuts" treasury (of over 300 pages) covers Charles M. Schulz's beloved comic-strip from its early years (1961-1962).

If you are a fan of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and all the rest of the Peanuts Gang - Then - You are sure to be delighted by the contents of this book.

*Note* - On February 12, 2000 - Charles Schulz (78 at the time) died from cancer of the colon.

If you think that each volume of these superbly done Complete Peanuts Volumes are the same, please reconsider. For instance, in this volume the cynicism was dialed up more frequently. Lucy tells us, "A true work of art takes at least an hour." Snoopy laments, "How can you enjoy it when they make you feel guilty." When reading strip reprints, I believe for the full original flavor it is best to read them more in the serial manner in which they were published - I go about 2 pages a day, a half week's worth. A quick plus for this handsome series - each volume as a great index, which I wish more books with newspaper strip reprints would do.
