Jack Till is trying - again - to prevent the murder of Wendy Harper; he accomplished this goal for the first time six years ago. But now someone (Wendy's ex-boyfriend perhaps?) has hired a married pair of tango-dancing assassins to try again. Perry won the Edgar Award for "The Butcher's boy".

Most of Perry's novels are very well organized and flow nicely. For some reason this one jumps around constantly with very unnecessary flashbacks. Trying to tell the story from four different characters viewpoint does not add to the continuity of the plot. Perry must have had a new editor working this one-not recommended
