This is definitely my kind of book because I am a newcomer to BDSM. This is infinitely better than 50 Shades of Grey, which any BDSM fan will tell you is gross, dull and unrealistic. Hell, even in Ottawa there's a Female Dominant/Male Submissive Munch and it shows that BDSM fans are normal men and women with regular lives, not the freaks shown on TV. Fetlife is definitely helpful as a site to explore the scenarios written about in this novel. Your hometown librarian or that girl working at Tim Horton's might be into BDSM and you'd never know it. Women are full of wonderful surprises and I love that about them. Hope this review was helpful to you.
Absolutely loved this book. Winemaker has a way with words as she sheds light on the emotional and sexual burden one goes through as a professional dominatrix. I was profoundly touched by how deep she goes into her own personal problems and lays them out on the paper for others to read, like she wants us to understand that, despite her profession, there's a person under there. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a good, hard read.
