Princess Mia has just graduated college. She is soon going to take over as Queen of Genovia from her grandmother, Queen Clarisse. However, Mia learns that she must marry in 30 days or forfeit the crown of Genovia to another rightful heir, Nicholas Devereaux. His uncle, Vicount Mabrey is really the one who wants Nicholas to be King. Not trusting Nicholas, Mia picks a decent guy who's sweet and charming and likeable, but can she go through with the wedding to someone she doesn't really love? I'd say this movie was disappointing, but it was a direct-to-video sequal, so....

Princess Diaries 2 is a sequel movie to Princess Diaries. This movie is about Mia still adjusting with her life as a princess. After graduating from University, she comes back to Genovia where her Grandmother tells her that she cannot become Queen unless she gets married within 30 days which is not enough time to find someone suitable for you, it becomes her mission to find a groom for herself. Had a lot of fun watching this movie because its kind of funny and very enjoyable. I rate this movie 4.5 out of 5. @BirdieBooks of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Even as a sequel, The Princess Diaries 2 is the perfect movie for the hopeless romantic or that lazy weekend binge. As a newly Princeton graduate, Mia (Anne Hathaway) is still adjusting to her life as princess to Genovia. Before Mia can fulfill her duty to become queen, she must deal with Nicholas Devereaux (Chris Pine) and his uncle's plot to over throw her crown. But when Nicholas falls for the soon to be queen, Mia's life becomes a little more complicated… The plot of the movie may be predictable, but it makes up for that with it's wit and character. The comedic parts in this movie were surprising and unexpectedly good. My favourite part of the movie was when Nicholas traveled to the wedding on a old high bike, then proceeded to switch to a horse like a true prince charming. Definitely underrated, and would watch again. -5 Stars

Mia, played by Anne Hathaway, is back at it again and ready to return to Genovia. After graduating from Princeton with her best friend Lilly, she is ready to finally become the Queen. However, Mia’s grandmother who is played by Julie Andrews, tells her that unless she is married within one month she will no longer be suitable to become Queen. Panicked, Mia begins looking for potential suitors, although many seem to be only interested for the crown. One man who truly loves her has finally came to terms with it, but is he ready to be a King? This film was released in 2004 and directed by Garry Marshall.

After graduating from Princeton, Mia (Anne Hathaway) returns to Genovia to resume her training as a princess. There, she finds out that she must marry within 30 days or else Nicholas Devereaux (Chris Pine), will take over her throne. Nicholas’ uncle, Viscount Mabrey is a corrupt member of the Parliament of Genovia determined to steal Mia’s crown through dishonorable means. After his attempts produce undesirable results, he forces Nicholas to woo Mia, to prevent Mia from marrying Andrew, her fiancé . To make matters worse, Mia loathes Nicholas due to the circumstances they are in. Through time, they begin to fall in love with one another and Nicholas begins to question his uncle’s demands. Overall, this movie was decent, I felt however that the relationship between Mia and Nicholas was too forced.
