"This original musical film is a fictional love story set in the 1960's amid Beatles music, the turbulent years of anti-war protest, the struggle for free speech and civil rights, mind exploration and rock and roll. At once gritty, whimsical and highly theatrical, the story moves from high schools and universities in Massachusetts, Princeton and Ohio, to the Lower East Side of Manhattan, the Detroit riots, the killing fields of Vietnam and the dockyards of Liverpool. A combination of live action and painted and three-dimensional animation, the film is paired with many Beatles songs that defined the time."

I didn't like the movie and I've never been a big fan of The Beatles, but I really enjoyed the covers on this album. I think they actually improved several of The Beatles's songs.
Unfortunately, it's missing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" . . . maybe they didn't do a full version of that song.

I am not a "musical" watcher - or even close.
This was VERY well done and each segue from scene to scene tied with the Beatles' songs were well placed.

A new fresh type of movie/entertainment.

Very beautiful and powerful, definately the best movie and music ever. Better than the Beatles.
