Geraldine McEwan is Christie's spinster sleuth - proper, demure and sharp as a tack - in sparkling new adaptations of four classic novels: The Murder at the Vicarage, The Body in the Library, A Murder Is Announced, and 4:50 From Paddington. These 21st-century productions are rich in post-WWII period atmosphere.

This is my favourite movie in Agatha Christie's Marple series 1 set. The movie is based loosely on the book in terms of the number of murders, motive and slight changes to the characters. This movie is quite different from the 1961 movie version starring Margaret Rutherford in the role of Miss Marple. Both were equally enjoyable.
