This is one of the horror movies that got me into horror movies, even if it isn't "jump scare" scary. It's surprisingly low budget but you'd never know it with the approach Danny Boyle took to the film. Cillian Murphy is a powerhouse of emotion and carries the film beautifully through the darkness of the world he wakes up to. The soundtrack is incredible, with a brilliant use of on of my all_time favorite ambient bands Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

ok zombie movie. At times the story got a little dull and while the zombies are fast, I wish they'd spent more on their look

A film that helped kick off the Zombie Renaissance.

I consider this to be the zombie version in the horror trilogy that if it really did happen, this is probably a more realistic view of how it would go down. The other two i relate it to in that fashion are Day Breakers to vampires (and idk about the twilight series so if there is one called day breakers, that isn't it. i'm talking about the one with Ethan Hawke and Willem DaFoe) and Attack the block to aliens. All three are great movies and would make an awesome triple feature. Not insulting intelligence and actual good stories.

I hate zombies movies, but I did like this one. Intelligent, thoughtful, and well acted; not your typical zombie movie. And I liked the fact that the infected turn right away, instead of waiting and waiting. It's not great, but it's definitely worth a watch if you like good movies. Though, the nudity was a bit gratuitous and unnecessary.

I'm not necessarily a fan of horror, but how this movie has the "feel" of any great post-apocalyptic film makes me wish that I could see it again "for the first time".
Likely my fave "horror" movie.

Not as well made as 28 weeks later. But the plot in 28 days is more coherent than 28 weeks.
