"Tamara Goodwin has always got everything she's ever wanted. Born into a family of wealth she grew up in a mansion with its own private beach a wardrobe full of designer clothes a large four poster bed complete with a luxurious bathroom en-suite. She's always lived in the here and now never giving a second thought to tomorrow. But then suddenly her dad is gone and life for Tamara and her mother changes forever. Left with a mountain of debt they have no choice but to sell everything they own and move to the country to live with Tamara's Uncle and Aunt. Nestled next to Kilsaney Castle their gate house is a world away from Tamara's childhood. With her mother shut away with grief and her aunt busy tending to her Tamara is lonely and bored and longs to return to Dublin. When a travelling library passes through Kilsaney Demesne Tamara is intrigued. She needs a distraction. Her eyes rest on a mysterious large leather bound tome locked with a gold clasp and padlock. With some help Tamara finally manages to open the book. What she discovers within the pages takes her breath away and shakes her world to its core."--Publisher description.

I was delightfully surprised with this one . I didn't know what I was getting into when I first started the book , but half-way through I was intrigued and couldn't put the book down .

Fun book to listen to on a long drive. A few weak points, but generally good.

In the beginning, I thought where is this book going? By the time I got to the middle of the book I was very intriuged and was excited to find out what was going to happen.

Wasn't a favourite, but I enjoyed it.

Wouldn't it be nice to know what tomorrow is going to bring? Tamara Goodwin' s privileged life ends when her father dies and her mother and her go to live with her aunt and uncle. She finds a magical book ... Interesting characters.

This book was amazing, I've been recommending it to all of my friends. Like other posters on here, it starts slow but then it really picks up. The details in the beginning end up being more necessary than I would have thought. This book would make a great movie, I kept feeling like it was a movie rather than a novel. Everything flowed seamlessly.

Loved this book. The story was somewhat slow at the beginning, but close to the middle it picked up, and then I couldn't put it down. I plan to read more of her books.
