Once there was a widow with three sons, and their names were Black, Brown and Blue. Black was the eldest; moody and aggressive. Brown was the middle child, timid and dull. But Blue was his mother's favourite. And he was a murderer. "Blueeyedboy" is the tale of a poisonously dysfunctional family, a blind child prodigy, and a serial murderer who is not who he seems. Told through posts on a webjournal called badguysrock, this is a thriller that makes creative use of all the multiple personalities, disguise and mind games that are offered by playing out a life on the internet.

Grim. I am not a user of social media, so I was a little confused. Some of the stories told on this guy's posts are really grim. I have read most of Joanne Harris's book and love her story telling and know that there would have been twists and turns had I continued reading, but alas, too grim for me. Try Gentlemen and Players.

Thriller. Absolutely no one is who they appear to be. What is fact and what is fiction. The protagonist is an internet junkie who posts stories online. We don't know if he makes up what he is posting or if it is true. He says the stories are fiction but people are turning up dead. Twists and turns right to the last page.
