An interesting, cultural, warm, idealistic story! A glimpse into a Vietnamese culture and humanity! Not quite believable at times! The over- famialiarity between the supposed strangers, affection and touching felt premature and odd! The Director ought to have caught this!
The beautiful scenes and cinematography was quite good! Yet, there were some shots of posing kids in the village that felt out of place and confusing! I think the Director took some great individual shots and decided to add them to this movie, or forgot to edit them out? Should have just put these in the Extra section of the DVD!

I do recommend this movie! Almost a Family movie, if u have older kids!

This is a Vietnamese warm-hearted movie with English subtitle. It consisted of three main characters : a ten years old girl who ran away from her straight uncle, a lonely stewardess and a broken heart zookeeper. All these lonely people met together in Saigon that made them friends and take care of each other.

Terrible cinematography...mostly handheld camera with closeups that were too close. The constant camera movement gave me a headache after about 20 min. Meanwhile, the closeups virtually excluded any sense of location or interaction - e.g. the stewardess alone in her room to exaggerate her loneliness; Thuy's first meeting of Hai at the zoo. In other circumstances, the closeups cut off the tops of the actors' heads - all you got in the center of the screen was the neck of the actor...the cinematography was on par with mediocre home-movies. Unfortunate, because the story is touching and the little girl, Han Thi Pham, is adorable.
