Returning to the reservation after his education at the Carlisle Industrial School in Pennsylvania, Daniel Killstraight, a Kwahadi Comanche, arrives just as Jimmy Comes Last, a boyhood friend, is being led to the gallows. Jimmy had been convicted of the murders of Thomas A. Benton and his wife. Prompted by Jimmy's grief-stricken mother, Naséca, Daniel resolves to investigate. On arriving at the reservation with the body, U.S. Indian policemen Hugh Gunter and Harvey P. Noble induct Daniel into the force.

A touching story of a Comanchee Native American warrior. Read this 2 years ago, even my dad too! Its a book that you will read into the morn( morning)! Whats funny, when both my dad and I saw the cover at first, we assumed it was going to be good and it actually was excellent! :)
