Too many unnecessary characters and twists in the plot, in order to: first, ostensibly to give some clues, and then it turns out that it was a false clue in solving the crime.
Of course, to call this book a literary masterpiece is impossible.
But from the point of view of the genre - it is fully consistent with it.

I think this book was amazing. I'm glad i picked it up, because I felt like I was watching a movie. It was creepy, interesting. I couldn't put it down. Other than it having its creepy moments, it had an unexpected twist. It'll have yu thinking its someone, then as you read it's like ... OK, its this person, & as things get revealed its like WHOAH! I swore it was that person, but it wasn't. It had my mind running wild, thinking, predicting. It was amazing.

This book's premise had lots of potential: an idyllic small town/college setting, a malicious and secret group of girls, and murders. Unfortunately, it was less than thrilling. The plot tended to drag and the the tricks played by the mean girls that were supposed to be scary were just juvenile.
