Highly recommend this book to understand yourself, others and learn how to speak the 5 languages of appreciation (love) in the workplace and elsewhere!

Chapman posits that appreciation is more effective than recognition in the workplace. There are five languages -- words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, tangible gifts, and physical touch. The key is finding the primary and secondary languages for each individual. There are lots of questions and resources that make this book partly inspirational, partly textbook. A provocative take on traditional employee recognition.
