This book was written in the pre-Trump era and gives a roadmap of how America must right the ship. However, judging by what is happening in the U.S. today, things will only get worse.
With the corrupt financial services industry still in tact from the 2008 bubble and a country run by billionaires with Trump as their frontman and shill the future for the 99% is not good. The predatory Nation outlines how the elite still have an agenda to fleece every nickel left out of its naive citizens. Well worth reading.
" If you're smart and a hard worker, but your parents aren't rich, you're now better off being born in Munich or Singapore than in Cleveland or New York."
This is another of those great, must-read books, which explains the overall big picture of what went wrong, by design, that is, and how it transfers wealth to the super-rich (by the fellow who brought us, "Inside Job" if I recall the movie title correctly?). The fantasy finance sector, which employs 7.8% of what remains of the "workforce in America" makes up the majority of the GDP today, and people still think we live in a consumer-based economy? ? ? ?
