A massive comet is five hours from crashing into Earth, impending annihilation. Everyone is doomed. Five strangers are gathered to discuss and resolve the fate of the world in a record store. The song, 'Fish Story' by a nameless '70s band can be heard playing on the record turn table. The back of the album cover reads: 'There is a silent pause during the song. It was put there by the song writers intentionally'. Does this obscure punk song contain the ingredients to save the world?

Great and positive movie! Has a really good message to it. Can brighten up a bad day to be sure.

Weird and super fun! It's made up of interconnected stories from each of the last 4 decades. Worth a second watch to understand it better!

This movie was based upon the novel by mystery author Kotaro Isaka [his excellent book, Remote Control, is no longer to be found within the Seattle Library System, sad to say, but is still on hand at the King Country Library System] and delivers!
A movie about cause and effect of positive actions, the blockchain of life, and most of all, about cooperation! During a martial arts scene, the best classic moves are used by the Champion of Justice, including the first move I ever learned, the double-leg scissors takedown, from an old Marine who was in Japan and trained at the Kodokan!
Funny, sweet, quirky and fun!

Definitely quirky and fun. Lots of unrelated scenes that are brought cohesively together through a Japanese punk rock song. Draws you in and surprises you.

This was a very entertaining film. For a while the story elements seem disparate and unconnected, but the whole thing is marvelously tied together.

Offbeat with some Japanese excesses, for me anyway, but it worked nicely. If you don't like foreign or offbeat films you won't like it.
