Betsy’s heartbroken over her friend Marc’s death, but at least his sacrifice should change the future—her future—for the better. But it’s not as if Betsy’s next few hundred years will be perfect. After all, her half-sister Laura is the AntiChrist, Laura’s mother is Satan, and family gatherings will always be more than a little awkward. What’s really bothering Betsy is that ever since she and Laura returned from visiting her mom in Hell, Laura’s been acting increasingly peculiar. Maybe it’s Laura’s new job offer: as Satan’s replacement down under. Unfortunately, the position comes at a damnable price: killing Betsy, her own flesh-and-blood. Over Betsy’s dead body. And for that matter Marc’s, too, since he’s not quite as buried as everyone thought. Now a war has been waged—one that’s going to take sibling rivalry to a whole new level, and a dimension where only one sister can survive.

Rather drawn out.
And things are getting creepy.
Though Fur and Bur are soooo cute!

Unstable is an understatement. This one in the series was hard to follow.

This book gave me ADD and made no sense even with the truest well intentions of just trying to get through it so i can give it a second chance. This story is told by a 30 year old character who uses the language of a 14 year old spoiled brat. Don;t think i have ever read anything worse....

RIP Betsy Taylor...your author killed you too soon, too stupidly even for you! This series " jumped the shark" a few books ago, and the author seems to be trying to milk her loyal fans for all that she can. It disgusts me when they create such great characters/story lines, and then give them a poisonous, lousy ending ( Jean M. Auel I'm pointing at you too!!!)

I was not expecting high literature but this was ridiculous. Pointless, confusing dialogue abounds. The plot is extremely thin and leaves HUGE holes. I found myself skimming through much of it because the dialogue was so bad. I am done with this series.

I did enjoy the book, even though I am getting quite tired of the series overall. Today, the constant bitching and arguing between the characters was funny... I hope this is the last of it, however, I could just stop reading them, you know? Lots of funky plot twists, one that comes completely out of left field near the conclusion, which keeps you in the story long enough to get to the end.

Okay, this is the last book I will be reading by this author. My overwhelming feeling on finishing this entry was "Huh?" So long Betsy, too bad your creator took a 180 on where the series was headed.

It turned out an evil librarian was out to get me, and not-for a change-owed from all the overdue charges from late returns.
