Not an instruction manual, but a book about Dinnerstein's relationship with clutter. Her quest to free herself from the disorder and excess baggage of daily life and find her true self is made possible by a twelve-step recovery program, a dose of Kabbalistic wisdom, and the help of her friends.

Reading some books is like finding a new best friend, a soulmate; this IS one of THOSE BOOKS. Read this book. OWN this book. The path to enlightenment travels from this world to the heart to the soul. “A Cluttered Life”, with joy and purpose and lots of fun, led me down that path without a single misstep. What a gift, what a life-changer! Who’d have thought that someone else’s journey through clutter would make me laugh, cry and actually change my behavior and understanding? Thank you Pesi, from: my cluttered life and apartment, the bottom of my heart, my soul, and my personal indirect relationship to G-d through the NYC parking angel.
