Packed with ingenious scientific work and spectacular fossils, NOVA's Ice Age Death Trap reveals intimate secrets of the life and death of North America's most exotic and extreme creatures: mastodons, saber tooth cats and camels, giant bison with six-foot horns, and ground sloths as big as elephants. Most tantalizing of all, the team unearths startling and controversial evidence of what may be the earliest humans ever to venture into the untamed wilderness of Ice Age America.

I enjoy a good documentary. This paleontology presentation was well done. I recommend it for all ages. It also demonstrates how humans think and act short term for short term survival. Some humans destroyed precious bone findings for quick cash. This is a big loss for the whole world, now and the future. Greed will hurt everyone.

Pretty interesting since Snowmass isn't too far away from us down here in Denver.

This is a 2012 documentary directed by Eleanor Grant and produced for Nova and National Geographic Television.
During construction at a Colorado ski resort, a bulldozer dug up something strange: a tooth so huge it had to be held in two hands.
Racing to the scene, scientists from the local Denver museum could scarecely believe what they found: a vast trove of the Ice Age 100,000 years ago, when North America teemed with incredible beasts.
The film reveals intimate secrets of the life and death of North America's most exotic and extreme creatures.
The humans might have arrived in North America 35,000 years ago or much earlier.
It is a gripping, fascinating and inspirational documentary.
