I can't recommend this enough for anyone who is being treated for a medical condition in Canada. Her story is raw and personal but also hits at the heart of what it is like to use the Canadian medical system.
Excellent insight into how it feels to be in the hands of the medical system with inflammatory bowel disease.
I highly recommend this for anyone struggling with chronic illness. I think it should be manditory reading in med-school students learning about treating patients like people.
A compelling call to arms that is at the same time a witty and heartwrenching story. Gorgeously written.
