Amazing photographs really illustrate the hardship of the time period. A school photograph of a class of girls all wearing flour sack dresses. Photos of trucks filled with everything a family owns and kids sitting on the roof, hoping to move it all to somewhere better. Even if you're not interested in reading 200 pages about the Dust Bowl, it's absolutely worth it to check this out just for the photographs.
