Good book. You think this guy had it all but seemed to have more low points than high points.

Did not like this book at all. Good from the point that it covers his early rise from Niagara Falls to the bruins. Bad from the point that the lowlights of his life, the homelessness, the losing everything, the drinking, drugs, are just glossed over in this book and given scant reference. This was a "careful" book, not meant to offend anybody (ie: Orr) but also not to really delve into the lowpoints of his life. if this book was in your "at home" book collection, you wouldnt re-read it, put it that way

Okay book.
Glad he is straightened out and is leading a clean, family life.
It is never too late!!!

Terrific book on Derek's rise and fall in the NHL and then the WHA. A must for any hockey fan.
