Where do children go when they close their eyes to sleep? They step onto their dreamboats and sail toward adventure. From Maiqui in the Andes floating through the constellations, to Aljuu paddling along the shores of Haida Gwaii with Eagle, Orca and Black Bear, to Ivan sailing into St. Petersburg, then sneaking between the bony legs of Baba Yaga, stories and memories lead them on.

Exquisitely beautiful. Each child is from a different culture, and sails through dreams in their own boat. The pictures are full of imagery of that culture, and are coloured in the most beautiful colours and patterns. The adventures these sleepers have is an homage to not only the beliefs of other cultures, but to the power of a child's imagination. The words too follow this idea, and have a slightly dreamlike quality to them, as a result of this advanced style, Dream Boats will only be appreciated by older children.
