I loved this book; its message was beautiful and resonated with many ages. It led to great inquiries with my students and I can't wait for her next.

Visually amazing, with a wonderful message: We are all nature.

The dioramas created by Soyeon Kim express the ideas of author Elin Kelsey, in this lovely book which reminds us that everything is connected.

The science of life is beautiful and this wonderful picture book proves just that.

UPSHAWSTARS Apr 03, 2013

The Upshawstars gave this book one star. Many of us liked it because it taught us something new! It connected our lives to things we didn't know. Many of us also didn't like it as much because it was tricky to understand at parts and didn't have as much detail as other stories we are used to reading.

Wonderful! Kelsey's poetic text and Kim's whimsical artwork remind readers young and old of the deep bond of humans to their natural world. A great non-fiction/picture book that encourages big questions, discussion, philosophizing and of course, imagination.

What a fantastic book! It really shows how we are connected with the Earth. Everyone should read this book and feel how important it is to treat our home with respect. It's the only one we have.

I love the imaginative illustrations in this book!

The story starts with a brief history of the origins of not only humans but all of nature, and from there continues to show how connected and similar we are to nature. This non-fiction book is more like a fiction book and is incredibly beautiful in its message. The pictures are made up of cut paper, and various other materials to make a 3D environment, this unique approach only adds to how beautiful the story is.
