Deputy District Attorney Dave Douglas takes his job very seriously-- so seriously, that his wife and family hardly ever see him. A case involving an animal laboratory finds Dave once again taking an extended leave of absence from his frustrated family. His luck takes a turn for the worst after he is inadvertently infected by a top-secret genetic-mutation serum that transforms the two-legged lawyer into a four-legged sheepdog. Though his current situation has its drawbacks, the fly-on-the-wall perspective afforded to Douglas in his newfound state alerts the well-intending father and husband that all is not well on the home front. Moved by the unfulfilled needs of his neglected family and determined to become a better father, Dave's unique new vantage point could offer just the motivation needed to bring the nefarious forces behind the serum to justice and win back his wife and kids once and for all.

this movie was pretty good, i mean you have to expect that it is meant for children, but if you put that into acccount then the movie was alright. I mean it was performed well, i very different role for tim allen, robert downey jr, and danny glover. but all the same worth watching, at times i loved it.

Tim Allen doesn't have "it" anymore. This movie was disappointing, but it left me with wanting to see the original. Surprisingly, in the original our hero was a teenager, which would have suited this film, but they were counting on the sequel, which required an adult to become the District Attorney.
