With astounding photos by Astrid Harrison and loving prose, this book beautifully captures our canine companions and explains the unbreakable bond between human and dog. It examines more than 100 breeds, from the popular Labs and Border Collies to the more obscure Ibizian Hound, discussing behavioural traits, cultural significance and history.
Art historian and animal expert Tamsin Pickeral divides the book into eight chapters including "elegance and speed," "beauty and endurance," and "agility and wisdom." This allows the dogs' personalities to shine through, capturing and warming even the non-dog lover's heart.
Lovely pictures. Nice book.
