Excellent book,,, more twists than a New York Pretzel. Could not put it down.

I found it rather slow to develop. I thought he took too long to explain the history that led to the present. I thought the protagonist (Jack) was made out to be too much of a *god* i.e. how great/moral/successful he was. The plot depended on there being holes in the investigations i.e. the coroner didn't do this and that; that appeared so evident. It also wrapped up a bit too easily and nicely (Sam and Danni's revelations). I expected more
