The future is North Korea, and this very detailed book suggests there may be one of only two ways to liberate its imprisoned people. One, the North launches a pre-emptive invasion of the South which it will definitely lose but at a huge human cost. Two, a Ceausescu moment where one person dares to deviate from the scripted rallies, openly cites his or her dissent on live television, and in so doing incites an internal revolution. Either way, and with the country armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons, the future is not good.
