On the island of Parla some believe in the ancient tale of the Fishman, others believe in nothing. All carry with them the mourning and sadness for what the sea has taken away. But when a man with no name is washed up on the stones of Sye, it appears the mythical figure has returned.

It is fabulous. Thank God for Susan Fletcher. The 2nd book I have read of hers- love her.
This is a story of a community on an Island. Four years ago there was a tragedy & each person hasn't healed fully yet from it. Now a man has washed ashore bringing changes. His appearance seems so much like the myth of the fishman that has been passed down from generation to generation. Can the changes last?
