This was an excellent quick read about a young soldier home from leave for the first time, haunted by the stresses of combat and guilt and grief, encountering his family and small town as the changed, new person he has become as a result of his experiences in Afghanistan. The resolution was a bit too quick and easy, but otherwise I found this a very real and believable depiction of a sympathetic character. Excellent dialogue and character reactions. It's definitely one I recommend.

Gritty novel about a nineteen year old who is experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after seeing his friend being killed with a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. Suitable for older teens.
