Absolutely exquisite garments! With the complicated designs and much color stranded work, this book is definitely geared towards the more advanced knitter. If you are a beginning knitter, this book with give you great inspiration and may well evoke a strong desire to fine tune your craft, just so you can dive in to these designs.

mostly two-color knit designs, sewn-in sleeve method, lovely reproductions of Swedish church decorations. Exquisite. I would wear any of these.

I liked the explanation of how she took inspiration from paintings, murals, alterpieces, etc. and adapted the designs, colours etc. Her colour choices are beautiful and the photographs do them, and the original source material, justice. The garments themselves are not to my taste (most are quite boxy and/or busy), but there are great ideas here that could be adapted into more flattering items.
Why publishers/authors choose to include basic knitting instructions in books like this eludes me, as beginning knitters are not going to be able to tackle these designs (stranded colourwork, intarsia, steeks).
