Britain's Hot Chip, who are a little bit electro, a little bit dance, and a little bit indie pop, are a consistent band, which means all of their albums sound a bit alike, but they're all good. This is the formerly DFA (THE indie dance label) affiliated band's fifth album and the band you'll put on to make the cool kids dance at your party.
Made in the Dark, circa 2008, was the 1st record I've listened to from this musical unit and it was just simply TOO annoying to listen to. This release, tho, is MUCH superior as the lyrical content and its electronic beats are focused and improved. Song highlights, as listed: Flutes; Motion Sickness; How do you do?; and Night&Day. If the band kept going at THIS consistency and rate, it's a band worth listening to, esp on this release. Worth checking out, I can guarantee!
