This is hilarious, great movie with all but a few of your familiar faces from Canadian tv and comedy. Lots of ironic and tongue in cheek humour which are so Hamilton......They should do another one......

Very well-done film. Cast is a who's-who of Canadian acting talent. Maybe I'll finally read the book now.

It would have been better had they stuck to the book alone and not introduced some Leacock biography. Well-filmed and well acted generally, with good period detail, but not anywhere near as satisfying as the whimsical, bittersweet, book.

This is a Well-done, Creative, humorous look at a small town and its inhabitants. A good family movie. Plenty of laughs. You will get to know many of the people and their quirks. Many well-known comedians and actors take part in this one. Great scenery and costumes. Wonderfully Innovative way of starting a movie.

Absolutely wonderful! A great piece of Canadian literature made for TV. When I read the book after watching the movie I had Gordon Pinsett's voice in my head! If you were born and raised in rural Canada you will enjoy this film!

This adapatation of Stephen Leacock's classic humour describes life in small-town Ontario at the turn of the 20th century, with its scheming pettiness and big dreams. Starring Canadian legend Gordon Pinsent, it's both family-friendly and great entertainment for all ages.
