Readable, but:

1) Too many characters' names begin with "D"--confusing

2) Not credible that MaryLou's sexuality wouldn't be used against her by the prosecution team, no matter how inept

"Retiring to a seacoast village after a life in various war zones, French Foreign Legion-trained mercenary Dell and military nurse Dolly foster local teens before the shooting of a popular boy reveals stunning regional corruption and a brutal rite of passage imposed on vulnerable girls. By the best-selling author of the Burke series." September 2013 Thrillers and Suspense newsletter http://www.nextreads.com/Display2.aspx?SID=5acc8fc1-4e91-4ebe-906d-f8fc5e82a8e0&N=674857
