"Where have we gone wrong? Why has the death rate from heart disease and cancer exploded in recent times? Why are the ice caps melting, the oceans dying and the forests being cut down as we produce the food necessary to support our burgeoning populations? Against a backdrop of colorful and delicious food grown by organic farmers and prepared in the kitchens of world-famous chefs, PLANEAT for the first time brings together the ground-breaking studies of three prominent scientists who have made it their life s work to answer these questions"--Container.

A somewhat less polished version of "Forks over knives", with some really nice playful elements showing food prep. The animations and background music were slightly cringe-worthy, but the rest of the film, the interviews and the information was all well produced and presented. I was inspired to check out the website right afterwards for recipes.

A continuation of Forks Over Knives messaging (also a top-notch documentary) with added thinking about how better food choices on a more global level can positively impact environmental conditions. At the individual level, the film also demonstrates that vegan diets can be interesting, enticing and delicious, as well as ultra-healthy. The food presentation is excellent and combines with testimonies and case studies to make a case for health and longevity through food as medicine. Recommended.

The DVD would not play for me. I ordered another copy and hope that one will.

Really effective with higher production values than you normally see in food documentaries. Very compelling pictures of vegan or vegetarian chefs creating their masterpieces make for mouth watering breaks in the discussion of the 3 principal talking heads. I found the environmental information presented especially well.

The science of nutrition with regards to heart disease, diabetes, and obesity and childhood liver cancer, with lots of beautiful food visuals to go with it. Worth a watch! The bonus features are worth watching (not too long) too.
