Isabelle Scott and Mirabelle Monroe are still reeling from the knowledge that they're not cousins after all--they're sisters. But with cotillion season right around the corner, the girls barely have time to process the news. Mira has always dreamed of making her debut in a gorgeous white gown, but now that she has broken up with Taylor, who's going to be her escort? Izzie, meanwhile, is still struggling to fit into Emerald Cove society, and when the troublemaking former debutante Dylan rolls into town, Izzie thinks she's finally found someone she can relate to. However, as cotillion preparations heat up, there are dance steps to learn, manners to perfect, and secret initiations to complete--as if sophomore year wasn't hard enough.

This book is basically a continuation of Belles, which is another book by this author. Winter White is about two girls, Mira and Izzie, who in the past book discovered they were long lost sisters. There are some problems at school because everybody knows, but there are some rumours going around about them that aren't true. With false stories, they have to survive cotillion (a formal event about etiquette) and school, but remain a good relationship with their family.
