This series is excellent, giving us a window into an entirely different world. I was delighted to learn more about Daeng's past.

Not as compelling as many of the earlier books in the series. A lot of Siri's wife's past, given to us all in one go - a change from Cotterill's previous unfolding of the main characters bit by bit in each book. I was left wanting more of Dr Siri himself.
