Las siluetas del fuegoBook - 2011 | Spanish
Spanish poet and writer Zenobia Camprubí, wife of Nobel laureate Juan Ramón Jiménez, motivates the reunion of two friends who accept the challenge of narrating her story. This nostalgic project turns into an intense journey as they travel through some of the cities in which the Jiménezes lived, from the moment that Zenobia meets Juan Ramón in a student dorm in Madrid until her exile in New York, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. The two protagonists also share their own journey as they desperately attempt to live with their husbands’ pathological infidelity and Chávez’s authoritarianism in Venezuela.
