Guy Maddin, hockey player for the Winnipeg Maroons, takes his pregnant girlfriend to a beauty salon that moonlights as an abortion clinic and leaves her (mid-procedure) for the salon owner's daughter. He then discovers that his new girlfriend can't be with a man until she avenges her father's murder. Originally presented at the 2003 International Film Festival in Rotterdam as a gallery installation, at which viewers watched its 10 six-minute "chapters" through a series of peepholes.

Strange, Art House type of film and definitely, not for everyone. Told in 10 segments, spliced together to form a feature, the film covers a hockey player's moral decisions in 1930's Canada. The segments were filmed in a fuzzy, flickering style to simulate the viewer looking thru an old peep show machine in a nichelodeon. This shoorting style, along with the surreal plot & characters, make the movie hard to sit thru in it's entirety, even though it's very original and inventive in it's presentation.
