Chapman (cognitive neuroscience, Center for BrainHealth, U. of Texas at Dallas) and Kirkland, the public relations director for the Center for BrainHealth, help general readers increase and maximize their brainpower by keeping their frontal lobe fit. They focus on the concept of neuroplasticity and the importance of the frontal lobe to expand the brain's cognitive potential. They describe the frontal lobe; assessment of the brain; ways to strengthen strategic brain habits, including improving strategic attention, cutting down on multitasking, and creating shorter to-do lists; improving integrated reasoning and the brain's innovative capacity; and specific case illustrations and tips for each generation based on neuroscience research. Included are sections on recovering from injury or disease and staving off Alzheimer's. Annotation ©2013 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)

Repetitive and has distracting grey boxes scattered throughout the text. Also has several grammatical errors, and shifts of point of view which momentarily confuse rather than refocus one's attention.
