Complex and intriguing, this is a an uncomfortable excursion into the reality of dysfunctional family relationships.

Excellent performances by the actors and a story that only the soulful French would have been bold enough to portray.

In the end...the viewer is rewarded by a loving generosity the is indeed uplifting as it is unexpected in a rather serious and somber film.

One of the BEST films that you never heard of.

The first part of the film was alright but then the trip to Tijuana was very unbelievable.

Skip It – Americano (2011) 90 min. [Foreign - French] Starring Mathieu Demy, Salma Hayek. Simple enough story is dragged down by uninspired direction and laissez faire acting. It’s as if the creators of this French film thought that the story was all that was needed to get by. In the end, we have a dull film with only the 3rd act to exert any life but by that time, they had already lost my attention. Salma Hayek doesn’t help either.
