Born in Belgian (1907) - Georges Remi (aka. Herge) was the graphic artist/cartoonist who (in 1929) created the popular comic-book character known as Tintin. At the very height of Tintin's popularity it was the single, most recognizable European comic of the 20th century. Remi's comic books have been translated into 80 different languages and have sold millions of copies, worldwide.
