I really enjoyed learning more about the cultural changes that occurred during this time, the political history, the people, and what their daily lives were like. Unfortunately, there was also a surprisingly powerful “Little Women” tone that I did not appreciate. Then again, I didn’t really enjoy “Little Women” either so… take that for what it’s worth. The Where They Are Today ending had me tear up a bit, which was quite satisfying.
