An amusing, light-weight read. Although he's an American, Kuhn clearly grasps the increasingly cosmopolitan yet still British character of the UK as well as some of the peculiar aspects of the modern royal household, still clinging to its anachronistic class structures while seeing its perks and privileges get whittled away by cost-conscious governments. I picked up this book because I had enjoyed "The Uncommon Reader". There are some similarities to be sure, although I found the "Reader" to be more satisfying.
