An enjoyable book to read with lots of tips for living a greener life without having to move off the grid and adopt a radically changed lifestyle. Easy to read, the book is positive, encouraging with a fair amount of research backing up its position. Zero Waste Home is interesting to read in conjunction with The Good Life Lab by Wendy J. Tremayne. Both authors are concerned with living a more environmentally friendly life, but take very different approaches to achieving that end (Johnson comes off as more mainstream; Tremayne's approach is definitely more radical). Neither book is preachy.
