“The Daughter of the Pirate King” is an amazing story about a young pirate. Alosa, daughter of the infamous Pirate King, has been sent on a mission to retrieve a piece of a map. To accomplish her goal, Alosa must channel her inner actress and allow herself to be captured by the pirate crew that is in possession of the map. Whilst on the ship, Alosa searches for the hidden map, but the first mate, Riden, has other plans. *MINOR SPOILERS* I love this book so much! It’s a fun, exciting read that gives me Pirates of the Caribbean vibes. Incredible enemies-to-lovers romance, and lot’s of action. The novel was fast paced, and each page was a new adventure. I love the protagonist so much. Alosa is so confident, strong and skilled and I just love a powerful main character. She is so inspiring and has accomplished so much. I love how she is so witty and always has a comeback for everything. I also really enjoyed the plot. Everything about this book is exciting, but most of all the plot. I kept telling myself, ‘I’ll go to sleep after this chapter’, but I physically could not put the book down. Every page was more intriguing than the last. The plot was so well constructed and super engaging. Moving on, I just adored the romance. Whilst the novel was fast past, the romance story was not. It was such a beautiful slow burn. They’re always at each other's throats and I love the enemies to lovers trope. Overall this book was amazing! It’s one of my all time favourites and I’ve read it so many times. The novel is packed with action, romance and pirates, and I just love it! The female protagonist was so inspiring, the plot was a masterpiece and the romance was perfect. I highly recommend this book to readers who love action, adventure, pirates, danger, and romance. I would also recommend reading the sequel, “Daughter of the Siren Queen”.
