When an expedition for dinosaur bones turns up only shells and seaweed, the ever-resourceful Madame Badobedah decides to lead their brave duo farther afield. But is the old villain up to her sneaky tricks again? A late night excursion to a locked museum has Mabel nervous, as does the emerald in Madame B's pocket. Mabel wants to be a great adventurer, not a thief! Then a friend from Madame Badobedah's very distant past turns up and reminds Mabel that her ancient friend is so much more than she appears -- and that Mabel, like generations of dreamers before her, has greatness in her bones.
