Pianist Aaron Parks' new album, By All Means, features the trio of Ben Street on acoustic bass and Billy Hart on drums, as well as tenor saxophonist Ben Solomon. The sound of the performances is straight ahead; no electronics or plugged-in instruments, and a theme-solos-theme structure for most of the tracks. It fits into a more traditional jazz piano record sound, within the lyrical, post-bebop mold.
